Who knows? I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to their New Year. (Yes, I know it’s the end of February.) I’m still trying to figure out what I truly want to do with my website. Lately it’s been more talking about World Travels (just posted a long overdue piece on my trip to Peru… check the “World Adventures” tab above if you’re interested), story tidbits (“Side Projects” tab above), and hopefully, more book reviews (you guessed it… “Book Reviews” tab above), which will probably be similar to what I share on Goodreads anyway.
A few weeks ago, I attended WriteOnCon, an online writing conference and a very good idea. I learned about authors, agents, editors, and book world fully decked out in pajamas and armed with several mugs of hot tea. I highly recommend this conference. You also have the opportunity to pitch your book as well as get feedback from other aspiring writers in the forums. This was my third year attending.
Upcoming writing events I’m looking forward to are:
-Liberty States Fiction Writers Conference – March 30-31 (It’s their 10th year conference anniversary, and they’ve got some mega awesome speakers for your listening and learning pleasure.)
-Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) – June 1-2 (Really excited and slightly nervous about this one. It will be my first time attending!)
